why i do what I do.....

I am now Fashion Director at Glamour magazine but following on from the success of my weekly column in the Sunday Times Style magazine I thought I would bring this page to life every week and also give you the chance to comment. This page is not for me to dictate what you should be wearing but to offer ideas on how to put wearable outfits together. Its not what you wear it's how you wear it!

Candy Stripes.....

This week candy stripes are ruling my world!  Want to win these amazing topshop jeans in the final look? Leave me a comment on the blog or tweet me @nataliehartley telling me what your favourite outfit is and how you would wear the jeans yourself and I will pick my favourite answer and send you the jeans, then wear them your way email me a picture of yourself wearing the jeans and will post on the blog and tweet the picture!  Easy and fun, good luck!

TIP...this skirt shape is a very flattering length but if its slightly too short for you then balance it with a loose shirt tucked in at the front to create shape the neutral grey of this looks great against the strong colours and wear with some fun sunglasses to finish the outfit

TIP...I have layered this silk striped blouse over a simple slip dress and the white blazer is a good contrast against the candy colours and peach making this look slightly less cute

TIP...these are my favourite printed jeans the stripes are great for making your legs long and lean and add a simple pastel coloured t-shirt to soften the outfit but the 50's style sunglasses make this outfit more interesting and glam

  1. My favourite outfit is my grey skater dress from topshop for it's versatility. Keep it casual with a denim jacket, pair it with candy block colours or dress it up with gold jewllery and sequins. I would die for a pair of those jeans and I would keep it simple with a white tee and maybe a pair of white brogue-like creepers to lengthen your legs even more and let those jeans do the talking!
